Paralegal – Avant Law

The Opportunity
Avant Law is seeking a motivated and detail‐oriented Paralegal to join our Sydney team on a full‐time basis. Job sharing arrangements will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing legal documentation including briefs, correspondence, subpoenas, summaries, and chronologies
* Managing court and tribunal filings
* Accessing and reviewing subpoenaed documents
* Liaising with witnesses, experts, court, and tribunal staff
* Attending court and recording detailed court notes
* Coordinating meetings and taking minutes
* Undertaking legal research
* Assisting with invoice processing and settled matter administration
* Providing general office administration and phone support
About You
* Previous experience in a paralegal or legal administrative role (Law students currently undertaking undergraduate or postgraduate studies are encouraged to apply)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Fast and accurate typing skills, including digital dictation typing
* Experience drafting and formatting legal documents
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* High attention to detail
* Intermediate Microsoft Office skills across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
* Experience preparing and maintaining legal files
