Ongoing, full‐time role based in Bendigo. This is a prioritised role for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, who will be given priority consideration as per the special measures provision of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Delivering meaningful case management for Aboriginal and non‐Aboriginal clients, focused on behaviour change and completing correctional orders.
2. Creating tailored cultural support plans to meet the specific needs of Aboriginal clients.
3. Assessing risk factors and developing individualised case plans that support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.
4. Providing expert advice to senior leaders and community‐based teams on culturally safe and effective approaches to working with Aboriginal clients.
5. Building strong partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and support services to improve access to culturally appropriate resources.
6. Attending Koori Court to provide advice and support where needed.
About You
7. A deep understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal community.
8. Strong case management skills and genuine passion for supporting others.
9. A proven ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal people and communities.
10. Strong knowledge of the issues affecting Aboriginal people in the justice system.
11. Experience in applying evidence‐based case management frameworks, especially with individuals with complex needs.
12. The ability to apply theory to practice—identifying risk, planning interventions, and supporting behaviour change.
13. A mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
