Executive Director – North Projects (Queensland)
Lead North’s flagship team in Brisbane
North Projects is a specialist advisor and consultancy to property, construction, and development projects nationally. We deliver successful project outcomes by managing cost, scope, risk, design, feasibility, and programme. Our clients include State governments, local councils, company boards, financiers, developers, builders, PPP sponsors and tertiary education providers.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director will take responsibility for the leadership, delivery, and performance of North’s Queensland business. This is not a business-as-usual role, as our Brisbane office is home to the best estimators, planners and constructability experts in the industry, with a proven track record across major civil infrastructure programs.
The team has experienced significant change in recent years; what is needed now is an inspiring leader who can both lead from the front and push from behind setting a clear vision, driving accountability, and ensuring the team remains focused and supported.
North has strong Quantity Surveying expertise and building capability across the business, with building continuing as a key growth sector for us. In Queensland, however, the focus is firmly on civil infrastructure. Success in this role requires recognised expertise in this domain whether from an advisory background, delivery leadership, or a related technical discipline.
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and established leader who:
- Brings recognised expertise in civil infrastructure, with a reputation for delivering excellence at an advisory or executive level.
- Demonstrates the ability to balance growth with profitability, making clear decisions that safeguard long-term success.
- Inspires confidence, motivates high-performing teams, and builds a culture of collaboration, accountability, and delivery.
- Has the drive and commercial acumen to identify opportunities, mobilise resources, and keep teams actively engaged and contributing at pace.
- Can deepen client relationships and position North as a trusted advisor across Queensland’s civil infrastructure market.
- Can provide clients with targeted support including strategic advice based on detailed research and analysis of real world data.
- Holds a proven record in people leadership, financial management, and full P&L; accountability.
