**About the Role**
As a crucial member of our team, you will report directly to the Global Head of R&D.; Your primary objective will be to collaborate with stakeholders in order to deliver impactful product solutions that are both commercially viable and operationally sound. Leading a team dedicated to formulation, you will oversee the development of innovative products from the early stages of laboratory and pilot-scale development to the scaling up of bulk production formulation processes. This role requires strategic thinking to accelerate innovation, support our existing product range, and ensure compliance with sustainability and regulatory standards.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide leadership and direction to the Formulation team, ensuring the punctual execution of innovative and operational projects.
- Foster close collaboration with marketing and procurement teams to effectively launch fresh and compliant formulations and technologies that align with the strategic blueprint.
- Strengthen and elevate the technical, statistical, and formulation science proficiencies within your team.
- Collaborate seamlessly with supply chain and production sites to secure unwavering product performance and quality for end-users.
**Skills & Experience**
- Tertiary qualification with a major in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent material sciences-related field.
- Previous industrial experience in Sealants & Adhesives, Coatings, or a related industry.
- Experience in cultivating new and existing internal and external technology partnerships.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and guide a team towards explicit objectives.
- Collaborative work style that transcends organizational boundaries.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
