About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic Teacher, ELICOS – English for Academic Purposes to deliver high-quality English language programmes for onshore international students preparing for further study.
You will plan, teach, assess, and continuously improve learning experiences using inclusive and contemporary teaching strategies.
This role also involves developing educational resources, supporting student engagement, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, teach, and assess English for Academic Purposes programmes
Create inclusive learning environments and implement learning plans for students at risk
Develop and validate assessment tools (e.g., English Proficiency Tests, CAE tests)
Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with AQTF and RTO standards
Engage with industry and stakeholders to support programme delivery
Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives
Skills and Experience Required
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE or equivalent)
Degree or diploma (minimum three years full-time or equivalent)
Suitable TESOL qualification
Strong understanding of teaching methodologies and learner-centred approaches
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
ICT proficiency for e-learning and reporting
Additional Requirements
A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
A National Police Check
