Shape the future of procurement at SafeWork NSW
Clerk Grade ***** with a salary range of $149,739 - $173,174
Ongoing role based in Parramatta or Gosford
Due to the Christmas shutdown period, the Talent Team will be unavailable to respond to queries from 25 December **** to 9 January ****. Additionally, system upgrades will occur during this time, and applications cannot be submitted for this role and will be unavailable between 24 and 25 December ****.

SafeWork NSW has just transformed to become a modern, strong, and independent Work Health and Safety Regulator. As part of this change, we have opportunities within our newly established Governance and Assurance team.
About the role:
SafeWork NSW is seeking a Manager, Procurement to lead and shape our procurement function, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and sustainable outcomes across the Agency.
Your key responsibilities include:
Provide strategic leadership and expert advice on procurement and sourcing strategies.
Oversee high value and high-risk procurement activities, including negotiations and contract management.
Drive continuous improvement in procurement systems, processes, and staff capability.
Manage procurement risks and ensure compliance with NSW Government frameworks.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver transparent, ethical, and value for money outcomes.

About You:
You're a strategic procurement leader who thrives on delivering value, compliance, and innovation. You bring expertise in managing complex sourcing activities and building strong stakeholder relationships, including:
Proven experience in procurement and contract management within complex environments.
Strong skills in strategic sourcing, commercial negotiation, and risk management.
Ability to influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders while leading complex projects to successful outcomes.
Excellent leadership skills to manage and develop people, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement or contract management and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience in a procurement environment.
