About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to drive corporate revenue growth and build strong relationships with key clients. This hands-on role focuses on sourcing and securing corporate accounts, maximising room revenue, and identifying opportunities for meetings, events, and long-stay business. You will work closely with the Sales & Marketing Manager, Reservations, and Revenue teams to ensure seamless client experiences and successful account outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Revenue Growth
* Proactively identify, target, and secure new corporate accounts to drive room night production and ancillary revenue
* Develop and execute a strategic corporate sales plan aligned with revenue and occupancy goals
* Negotiate corporate rates, contracts, and preferred agreements in line with pricing and yield strategies
* Maximise revenue from meetings, events, and extended-stay business within corporate accounts
Account Management & Retention
* Manage and grow a portfolio of local, national, and global corporate accounts
* Build long-term partnerships with decision-makers, travel managers, procurement teams, and agencies
* Conduct regular account reviews, performance analysis, and business planning sessions
* Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business
Market Intelligence & Strategy
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and corporate travel patterns
* Identify new business opportunities within emerging industries and market segments
Sales Activities & Networking
* Conduct sales calls, client meetings, site inspections, and presentations
* Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and corporate travel forums
* Maintain accurate records of all sales activity using CRM systems
Collaboration & Reporting
* Work closely with marketing, reservations, revenue, and operations teams to ensure seamless client experiences
* Prepare regular sales reports and updates
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Corporate room night production and revenue
* New corporate account acquisition
* Account retention and revenue growth
* RFP conversion and contract performance
About You:
* Proven experience in hotel sales, business development, or corporate account management
* Strong understanding of corporate travel, negotiated rates, and RFP processes
* Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
* Results-driven mindset with a strong commercial focus
* Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
* Full Australian working rights are required (no sponsorship available for this role)
