* Collaborate with the management team to plan food costs and labour costs, ensuring a balance between quality and affordability.
* Effectively manage food supplies to maintain a smooth kitchen operation.
Key Responsibilities:
As a skilled Chef, your primary duties will include:
* Preparing and cooking dishes to meet our exacting standards from preparation through presentation.
* Overseeing the cooking process and plating to maintain consistent taste and quality across all meals.
* Working closely with the management team, staff, and kitchen personnel to address food-preparation issues, ensure seamless service, and foster a collaborative atmosphere.
* Sharing knowledge and expertise by demonstrating cooking techniques and guiding kitchen staff on proper cooking procedures and plating standards.
Essential Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you'll require:
* A Certificate III & IV in Commercial Cookery (preferably but not mandatorily)
* A Diploma of Hospitality Management (preferably but not mandatorily)
Key Skills and Experience:
* At least 1 year of experience as a Chef or a relevant position
* The ability to work under pressure while maintaining exceptional food quality standards.
* A keen eye for detail, particularly in food presentation.
