We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the production of Kongsberg Naval Strike Missiles and Joint Strike Missiles at the KMF.
You will play a vital role in establishing and scaling the facility, managing a high performing team and ensuring operational excellence across all stages of missile production.
About the role:
As a Production Manager, you will:
* Lead the KMF production team and oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient establishment, scaling and continuous improvement of production capabilities.
* Manager recruitment, onboarding, training and development of production staff while fostering a strong safety and compliance culture.
* Work with the KMF Director Operations and Program Manager to successfully establish production capabilities including facility construction, equipment installation, recruitment, training of staff and commissioning, and provide support with budgeting, cost tracking and operational reporting.
* Oversee facility setup, equipment installation and commissioning to enable smooth transition into production and qualification of missile manufacturing process.
* Monitor and improve KPIs across efficiency, safety, quality and team performance, embedding lean principles into workflows.
* Liaise with Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace SMEs based in Norway for the establishment of the production capability including coordinating training in Norway.
What you'll Bring:
* Tertiary or Trade qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical ,Fabrication or other related discipline.
* Minimum of 5 years Production Management experience.
* Minimum 10 years Manufacturing experience.
Mandatory Requirements:
* Must be able to access information controlled under the US International Traffic of Arms Regulations (ITAR).
* Must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.
