Remuneration: $173,345 - $193,906 per annum

What You'll Be Doing
As the Director of Finance you will provide visible leadership across all financial functions, ensuring strong performance, robust governance and effective business partnering that supports safe, efficient and high-quality care.
Provide expert financial leadership and guide managers to strengthen financial literacy and achieve performance targets
Lead all financial operations including budgets, forecasts, revenue and cost data to support strategic decision making
Build strong partnerships between finance, digital and corporate services to improve organisational outcomes
Drive financial performance systems, remedial actions and compliance with NSW Health and WSLHD requirements
Oversee Finance and Revenue functions, ensuring efficient client focused services and a culture of accountability

Selection Criteria
Relevant tertiary qualification within finance discipline and experience managing financial operations of a complex Health Service (or similar body) including understanding of the current challenges involved with health reform, operational and financial risks, Efficiency Improvement Plans and major cost drivers impacting on the Health Service's financial position and demonstrated success in financial and economic analysis.
CPA or CA qualification is mandatory.
Extensive experience managing full cycle of budgetary processes including budget setting, monitoring and reporting of the development and implementation of financial management policy.
Demonstrated advanced analytical and problem-solving skills using variety of data systems such as financial, statistical, HR and management systems to pro-actively improve business processes.
Prior experience and/or understanding in the use of case weighted and/or activity funding to improve business performance
Demonstrated experience leading and monitoring the education and coaching of stakeholders, including cost centre managers in the access, monitoring, analysis and usage of business, performance systems and data bases.
Proven high level interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and concisely to staff at varied levels of the organisation to build engagement & understanding of fiscal responsibility within the hospital.
Demonstrated experience leading and motivating a high performing, results driven team.
Demonstrated extensive experience and proficiency in using financial computer systems such as Oracle as well as high level computer skills in PC based applications such as, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
