Support the coordination and delivery of high-quality executive and ministerial support services. Fixed term, full-time opportunity until 4 August 2026. VPS grade 4 - $97,955 - $111,142 plus superannuation.

About The Business Unit

DJCS Emergency Management. Emergency Management within the Department of Justice and Community Safety (the Department) works closely with government and agencies across the emergency management portfolio. The group is led by the Deputy Secretary, Emergency Management. Emergency Management includes the department's emergency management accountabilities and statutory entities and offices.

The Business Unit: Sector Investment and Performance - Sector Investment and Performance, Emergency Management is responsible for the oversight and monitoring of investment, governance, assurance, performance and reporting of emergency management portfolio agencies. The unit is responsible for ensuring the delivery of centralised corporate functions, including strategic and business planning and risk and business continuity management and government business. Key functional responsibilities also include state budget coordination and legislated reporting and assurance activities and provisions of executive services. The Business Unit also supports the coordination of critical emergency capability functions within DJCS EM.

About The Role

The Executive Services Coordinator supports the coordination and delivery of high-quality executive and ministerial support services, undertaking analysis and preparation of reports and briefings. You are responsible for maintaining strong stakeholder relationships with sector agencies and assisting in preparing discussion papers and reports on complex and sensitive issues as required.

Some Of Your Duties Will Include
* Actively support workplace culture and practices that achieve DJCS EM's strategic objectives, including:
o participating in the PDP process, ensuring goals are meaningful and measurable and compliance with all requirements
o contributing to a safe and healthy working environment for all staff and actively promote a positive culture across DJCS EM
o maintaining compliance with all governance requirements.
* Provide and coordinate the delivery of high-quality executive and ministerial support services to the DJCS EM Executive and Minister, ensuring that responses are provided to a high standard and meet required timelines.
* Prepare and contribute to Ministerial correspondence and briefings, PPQS, responses to QONS and other Parliamentary business including undertaking investigatory and analytical work.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Demonstrated knowledge of Victoria's emergency management arrangements (desirable).
* Experience with government processes, executive and ministerial services and policy development and delivery (desirable).
