Following a recent acquisition, the team is growing, and our client is seeking a motivated Cash Operations Officer, reporting into the Cash Operations Team Leader and will involve supporting the wider finance team and company.
Over the past 12 months, their retail book has grown by 33% and headcount has increased by nearly 20%. The Role:
This opportunity offers the successful candidate to gain hands on experience across a wide range of responsibilities including cash and contract management, direct debit processing and reconciliations. Furthermore, this collaborative role involves being a part of a team who are driving various process improvement initiatives and partnering with the wider finance teams.
Responsibilities:
* Cash Management: Responsible for applying, allocating, and reconciling customer loan and lease payments.
* Direct Debit Processing: Oversight of daily direct debit file processing.
* Contract Management: Administration of contract terminations and ongoing contract maintenance.
* Dealer Payments: Coordinating daily dealer payments and funding for loan and lease originations.
* Staff Reimbursements: Processing employee reimbursement claims.
* Month-End Closing: Supporting month-end close activities, including general ledger reconciliations.
* Process Improvement: collaborating with the team to support continuous improvement initiatives and achieve streamlined processes.
* Staff Training: Delivering training sessions to equip staff with the required skills and knowledge.
* Ad-Hoc Duties: Carrying out additional tasks as needed.
Experience Required:
* 2-3 years' experience working in a similar role within financial services.
* Strong knowledge in payments, cash application and data processing (highly desirable).
* Excellent attention to detail, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to play a role to recommend process improvements.
* Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills with strong communication skills both written and verbal.
