Monadelphous is seeking a capable and driven Deputy Project Manager to support the successful execution of major multidisciplinary resource construction projects in WA.
This is a key role on a large-scale project encompassing both SMP and E&I scopes. The position will initially be based in the Perth office commencing May/June, before transitioning to site mid/late August on a 2:1 roster. We are open to candidates based in any major Australian capital city. This role offers a direct pathway, support, mentoring and guidance into Project Management from experienced Monadelphous project leaders, while actively contributing to team culture, success and operational excellence on‐site.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Project Manager in the safe, on‐time, and on‐budget delivery of major construction projects
* Oversee daily construction activities and coordinate across fabrication, procurement, engineering, quality, administration and project controls teams
* Assist with active management of budget, forecasting, commercial compliance and progress tracking
* Support senior project leaders to ensure consistent adherence to HSE and quality standards across site operations
* Lead coordination / interface meetings and support communication and reporting with the client and key stakeholders
* Provide leadership to the site‐based team, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration and accountability
* Manage technical risk and support resolution of engineering and delivery challenges
* Coach and mentor engineers and contribute to team capability development and succession planning
What you'll bring
* 8-12 years' experience in construction project delivery within the resources sector, with recent leadership in site‐based engineering or delivery roles
* Previous exposure to multidisciplinary packages (SMP/E&I/Civil) on $50M+ construction projects
* Engineering degree or trade background with demonstrated technical and leadership ability
* Solid understanding of project lifecycle, construction planning and commercial acumen
* Proactive leadership style with strong interpersonal and communication skills
