About the role Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster.
Key Responsibilities Support clients with daily personal care such as bathing, shaving and toileting Provide medication assistance and mobility assistance by lifting, transferring and hoisting clients Follow person-centred active support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully Ability to support a 24/7 roster, which will consist of sick leave and annual leave and may also include a variety of day, afternoon and active overnight shifts ensuring that our support is available whenever it's needed most Assist and advocate for clients choice and control to enable them to reach their goals through meaningful activities of their choosing Track and document the changing needs of clients through thorough record-keeping Skills & Experience A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011 (or willingness to obtain) Current unrestricted driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (minimum Third Party insurance) Access to a personal mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet and ability to use basic technology and software Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
