We are looking for an immediate or soon to be immediately available Accounts Receivable Officer to join our client who has recently expanded through strategic acquisition of assets. Having been in the business for several decades, our client prides themselves in the team culture they have cultivated and their dominance in the industry.
The Role
3-month contract will be suitable for an immediately available Accounts Receivable Officer, who will report directly to the Accounts Receivable Team leader. This role has the potential to be extended.
Responsibilities
* Process customer invoices and credit notes accurately and in a timely manner
* Monitor customer accounts to ensure payments are received according to terms
* Perform daily receipting and allocate customer payments in the accounting system
* Reconcile AR sub-ledger to the general ledger and investigate discrepancies
* Follow up on outstanding debts and maintain regular communication with clients regarding overdue accounts
* Prepare monthly AR aging reports and assist with cash flow forecasting
* Liaise with internal departments to resolve billing or payment queries
* Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and adjustments
* Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
* Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline AR processes and enhance reporting accuracy
About You
* 1-2 years' experience within a full function AR role.
* Intermediate experience with Excel
* Eager to learn.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Ability to work autonomously.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
