Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Category Assistant to join our team for a 6-month secondment with a view to permanent placement. This is a critical role in the team, where you will be the first point of contact for all vendor and supplier enquiries, manage customer complaints, and be the 'go-to' person for any enquiries relating to your category within your team.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Actioning customer complaints on time.
* Completing SAP processes and workflows for new lines and amendments daily.
* Completing administration tasks from reviews accurately according to set timeframes.
* Supporting the team with administration tasks, including archiving/data entry.
* Ensuring quality and clarity of communication with stores, vendors, and employees.
* Following quality control/quality assurance guidelines in line with policy (category specific).
* Adhering to policies, procedures, timelines, and administrative requirements.
* Escalating food safety issues in a timely manner.
* Identifying customer trends and sharing insights/findings with the wider team.
* Influencing internal business partners to deliver outcomes.
* Keying promotions on a weekly basis.
Requirements
We're looking for someone with the following experience:
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Computer literacy.
* Knowledge of retail trends and market activity.
* SAP knowledge.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Experience in supermarkets highly regarded.
