Therapy Assistant
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Therapy Assistant on a permanent part-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and support to our residents. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing mobility and exercise programs under the direction of the Physiotherapist, as well as participating in the planning and organisation of therapy programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide mobility and exercise programs to residents under the direction of the Physiotherapist.
* Participate in the planning and organisation of therapy programs.
* Deliver a range of therapy-based activity programs as directed.
* Accompany resident groups on outings.
Requirements:
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities.
* Sound written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
* A genuine interest in working with older people.
Essential Requirements:
* A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher qualification.
* Experience in a similar role (Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapist Assistant).
* Aged Care Experience (in particular Dementia).
* Empathy with the elderly.
* Full Australian working rights and ability to pass a national police clearance.
