Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for safety, compliance, and team development? We are seeking a Manager Dangerous Goods to provide strategic leadership and operational management to a team of Dangerous Goods Officers.
About the role
As Manager Dangerous Goods, you will drive safety compliance, regulatory engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives while developing high-performing teams. You will play a key role in shaping policy, leading audits and inspections, managing compliance projects, and fostering industry collaboration to enhance public and environmental safety.
You will bring to the role your leadership and management experience in safety compliance, risk management, or regulatory enforcement.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience in policy development, operational planning and project management will be the key to your success.
Essential requirements for this role:
1. Extensive knowledge of and experience in managing inspectorate operations at a senior level, with proven ability to take responsibility, promote accountability and motivate others to achieve agreed performance outcomes and cultural change.
2. Proven leadership and management skills, particularly in relation to building and optimising peoples' capabilities.
3. Extensive knowledge and experience in relation to safety management with demonstrated experience in the application of work health and safety laws and/or dangerous goods laws.
