Taurus is a privately owned and operated specialist mining supplier with various clients around Australia.
On behalf of our client who is a mining and civil contractor we are looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter for their Kalgoorlie Workshop.
These will be permanent positions with our client after a labour hire period.
To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate the following;
About the Role:
* This role is based in Kalgoorlie on a Monday to Friday roster 10-12 hour shifts. Residential Kalgoorlie is preferred.
* Will consider FIFO Perth on roster arrangement for highly skilled candidate.
* You will be responsible for carrying out routine mechanical maintenance, scheduling repairs and troubleshooting of the mobile plant equipment
* A background in Diagnostics, Maintenance Planning and record keeping is required.
To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate the following;
ESSENTIAL
* Experience in servicing, repairs and breakdowns of Heavy Mobile Plant Equipment.
* Hold an Australian recognised mechanical tradesperson qualification.
* Excellent fault finding skill and ability to carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance.
* Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
* Valid Manual Driver's Licence. MC License would be HIGHLY regarded
* You must be able to provide a CLEAN National Police Clearance (within 6 months of commencement).
* Unrestricted Working rights in Australia.
* A commitment to your own safety and those who work with you.
* Successful candidates will also be required to pass a pre-employment medical drug & alcohol test (at our expense) and regular onsite D&A testing.
