Job Description
We are seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team. This role will involve supporting adult NDIS participants in SILs and respite services across Innisfail and surrounding suburbs.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities, providing personal care and support to enable them to live independently.
This is a casual position with consistent hours and routine rosters, ideal for someone looking for flexibility in their work schedule.
* Support people in SIL arrangements and respite services
* Assist participants with personal activities including hygiene support, medication assistance, manual handling, domestic assistance and meals
* Follow specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP) to assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities
Requirements
* Completed or currently studying a Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant)
* 12 months paid experience supporting people in SILs with physical and intellectual disabilities
* Australian Driver's License
* First Aid Certificate
* CPR
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card) for paid employment
* National Police Check (obtained within the last 6 months or willing to apply)
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module
* Reliable smartphone with data
