Position
On behalf of our client ("the Company"), Perks People Solutions Pty Ltd are looking for full-time Beehive Auditor Team Leaders to complete a 1-month assignment for the Bee Colony Audit Service 2026. The Beehive Auditor Team Leaders will manage and supervise a team of Beehive Auditors, ensuring they are proactive and completing tasks at the required standard. The temporary position will be based at Robinvale, Victoria, 3579.
The work is highly specialised due to the knowledge and work experience required to objectively determine the strength of the bee colony.
Key Responsibilities
* The principal tasks to be performed in these positions are:
Managing and supervising a team of Beehive Auditors, ensuring they are proactive and completing tasks at the required standard.
* Preparing the Beehive Auditors' work schedule to ensure the required beehives are audited within the required time frame between 30 July 2026 and 27 August 2026.
* Overseeing the preparation of the reports of all apiary sites and bee colonies audited to the Company's client, including the number of frames of bees per colony audited and whether the bee colonies have a healthy, laying Queen bee.
* Working with the Company's client to coordinate all on farm activities related to auditing.
* Assisting the management team with budgeting forecasts, planning efficient auditing schedules and workload timeframes.
* Providing an objective judgement of the quality and strength of bee colonies provided to the Company's client used to pollinate Almond flowers.
o Almond trees are 100% dependent on bees to pollinate the Almond flowers. Therefore, the quality and strength of the bee colonies provided for pollination services are directly related to producing a financially viable crop.
* Managing and overseeing the record keeping activities of Beehive Auditors to ensure the following information per bee colony adult:
o Temperature at the time of audit;
o Time of day;
o Amount of frames of bees per bee colony audited;
o Stating if the bee colony is Queen right or not (meaning having a health, laying queen);
o Taking 1 photograph of every bee colony and comparing the photograph against the predetermined bee colony standard; and
o Writing a summary report on a label stuck to each bee colony audited, including all the information mentioned above as a record of the audit completed.
Key requirements
* Must have highly specialised skills and experienced in beehive auditing.
* Must have at least 3 years of extensive and professional work experience in beekeeping in a commercial beekeeping business.
* Must have managerial and team leading experience.
* Must have sufficient references from previous employers or beekeeping associations or honey buyers to demonstrate their relevant level of professional beekeeping experience.
* Good work ethic and be a team player but must also be able to work independently.
* Must be physically fit, and with no known allergies to bees\bee stings.
* Must be resilient and enjoy working outside.
* Understanding of Biosecurity risks and challenges would be looked upon favourably.
* Availability to travel away from home during the audit for 1 month
Remuneration
During your employment, the Company will provide the right candidate with a generous base salary during the assignment, plus superannuation based on a 38-hour week.
