ABOUT THE ROLE
As Roster Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily workforce rostering across all Cram sites. In this role, you will maintain and update the master roster, promptly respond to unplanned vacancies and work closely with managers to assess staffing requirements and ensure suitable staff matching. Furthermore, you will ensure that rostering practices align with organisational policies and evolving operational needs.
Key responsibilities include:
· Act as the Subject Matter Expert for resourcing of Disability Support Workers
· Work with Team Leaders to understand Participant needs and suitable matching of staff
· Collaborate and communicate with Team Leaders to ensure unplanned vacancies are addressed in a timely manner
· Provide regular feedback to Team Leaders of individual issues, opportunities and patterns of behaviour
· Management of master roster in line with changes to Participant SIL Funding, Rosters of Care, operational requirements and staff flexibility
· Management of rolling rosters including incorporation of Community Participation shifts and timely response to vacancies
· Act as the central point of contact to provide support for resource management and scheduling changes across all sites, ensuring optimal coverage
· Understand and practice The Cram Foundation person-centred model of care and model behaviour in line with Cram's Vision and Values
· Understand the SCHADS Award and the impact of roster patterns on Cram's costs
· Ensure staff competencies are maintained, and staff/Team Leaders are provided with advanced notice of expiring competencies
· Develop suitable parameters and communication channels with Team Leaders and Agency to ensure shifts are filled appropriately from a cost perspective and in a timely manner
· Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders including families, carers, Participants, colleagues and emergency professionals as needed
ABOUT YOU
You're a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with a demonstrated ability to manage complex rostering requirements. You're comfortable working with digital rostering systems and have a proactive approach to problem solving, enabling you to respond effectively to unplanned vacancies and shifting workforce demands. Your communication skills allow you to collaborate effectively with managers and team leaders to assess staffing needs and ensure appropriate staff placement. You approach your responsibilities with reliability, discretion and a commitment to operational excellence.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* Recent, relevant experience in a similar setting with proven ability to perform key responsibilities aligned with this role
* Demonstrated commitment to the rights and interests of people living with a disability, underpinned by relevant legislation and policies
* Proficient in IT Systems, including rostering and scheduling software
* Experience with SMS audits and communication technologies
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
* Ability to apply a holistic overview of the workforce operations and respond calmly and concisely in high pressure situations
* Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and comply with all privacy expectations and legislation
* Excellent time management and organisation skills with strong attention to detail
* A current C Class Drivers Licence;
* A current Working with Children Check;
* A current NDIS Worker Clearance Check;
* Two doses of Covid-19 vaccine
DESIRABLE
* Certificate in Workforce Planning or working towards relevant qualifications
* Understanding and knowledge of the SCHADS Award
* Knowledge of, or demonstrated experience in relation to Participant SIL Funding, Rosters of Care, and the day to day workings of Group Homes
