Job Title: Middleware and Infrastructure Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to support our ICT systems by ensuring the integrity, security, availability, and performance of corporate applications and databases.
Key responsibilities include installing, managing and maintaining middleware products and supporting databases to ensure security, performance, integrity and recoverability.
Design and implement appropriate application middleware hosting environments to support development, testing, training and production activities.
Participate in formulating and maintaining technical standards.
Provide technical support for middleware and database issues.
Work with ICT teams to implement and support inter-application interfaces and integration with hosting platforms.
Manage high-quality documentation to support operations of middleware support services and corporate application hosting.
Required skills and background:
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
* Experience with administrating corporate applications on Microsoft Windows Server or Unix/Linux server.
* Proficiency in Apache Web Server, IIS applications, Wildfly/Java Application Server, Apache Tomcat.
* Advanced knowledge of contemporary project management practices.
* Highly developed research, analytical, evaluation and reporting skills.
* Interpersonal communication skills and ability to liaise and negotiate effectively.
