We are looking for a fulltime COOK to join of team.
We are looking for a full-time employee under the occupation of Cook. We are offering a yearly salary of $76,759.80 FTE Per Annum plus 12% Superannuation to the successful applicant. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating a variety of dishes, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency for all guests. You will also be responsible for supervising one or more apprentices at any one time, and you will report to the Head Chef.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Food Preparation & Quality Control: You will be a key player in preparing fresh, local seafood and meats, including inspecting ingredients to ensure they meet our high-quality standards. Your duties will include preparing, cooking, and seasoning a diverse range of dishes, while ensuring proper management of the temperatures of all cooking equipment.
Specialty Diets: You are expected to have a comprehensive understanding and skills in preparing dishes for various dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, lactose-free, keto, and paleo diets, among others.
Plating & Guest Service: You'll be responsible for the presentation of each meal, including portioning food and adding garnishes, sauces, and gravies. You will also maintain a courteous and professional manner when interacting with guests. Respond to Guest requests in a timely manner.
Kitchen Operations & Team Support: You'll ensure the kitchen workspace is kept to the highest standard of cleanliness and organization. You will also train and coordinate kitchen staff and apprentices and communicate effectively with the Head Chef to ensure seamless operations across all departments.
Safety & Compliance: A key part of your role will be to ensure all work practices adhere to health and safety regulations, and that all food is stored correctly in temperature-controlled facilities.
General Duties: You will also be expected to assist with other unrelated tasks as assigned by management.

Work Experience and Qualifications
Must have a minimum of a relevant Certificate III and 2 years relevant work experience or Certificate IVor equivalent qualification.
In some instances, we will consider applicants who do not have a formal qualification if they possess sufficient suitable work experience.
