Senior Cook/Chef - Fulltime
Lerwin is 80 bed residential aged care facility that has been serving the local community and surrounding areas for 40 years.
The Murray Bridge is located approximately 75km east of Adelaide.
We are currently recruiting for a member of our Food Service team.
The position will work as Chef Assistant and is responsible for managing food services in conjunction with the Head Chef
Duties include, but not limited to:
* Preparation of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches, desserts, and mid meal items.
* Ensure the meals are prepared as per menu and standard recipes in line with resident needs.
* Ensure residents are provided with meals as per their documented needs.
* Provide resident food services under direction of Hotel Services Coordinator or Head Chef.
* Ensure that Food Safety documentation is completed as per FSP.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment.
* Provide resident focused service in relation to meals and food services.

Successful applicants will demonstrate.
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (preferred) or extensive commercial cooking experience.
* At least 3 years cooking experience, preferably with bulk cooking situation such as health or aged care.
* Adaptability, initiating action, collaboration, managing work (including time management), work standards and stress tolerance.
* Demonstrated person-centered care and respectful approach to residents, visitors and staff.
* Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred but is not essential.
And will be able to provide evidence of:
* Australian Federal Police Criminal History Check
* Covid Vaccination (min 3) preferred
* Seasonal Influenza preferred
