Forest Fire Planning Officer Role
This role involves working within a team of planning experts to develop and design tactical plans for forest and fire management works.
The Forest Fire Planning Officer will communicate local knowledge and priorities to inform operational planning processes.
They will represent district priorities within strategic planning processes, including Joint Fuel Management Program, Operational Forest Management Program, and others.
The successful applicant will have broad knowledge and/or relevant experience in planning and delivery of fuel, road, track, recreation, and environmental asset maintenance and improvement programs.
Contractor management skills, including ability to manage procurement, are essential for this role.
