About the Role
This Clinical Nurse (RN/M2C) position involves delivering essential mental health nursing services across various settings, progressing from competent to proficient practitioner. The Registered Nurse (RN/M1) plays a key role in delivering comprehensive, evidence-based recovery-oriented mental health services. Allied Health Professionals (AHP1/2), Psychologists, and Social Workers apply their clinical expertise and specialized knowledge to deliver tailored services to consumers, their carers, and families.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality mental health nursing services to individuals, families, and communities through engagement, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated care across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings, ensuring seamless coordination of services.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with consumers, carers, and families through effective communication, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
Requirements
* A registered or eligible nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with relevant postgraduate qualification in mental health practice.
* For RN/M1: enrolled and/or willing to enroll in further postgraduate studies within mental health practice, and possess relevant skills and knowledge.
* For AHP1/2: recognized four-year qualification within the psychology profession, eligibility to hold provisional registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, and general registration as a psychologist.
* For social workers: recognized qualification within the social work profession, full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, and relevant experience in mental health practice.
