About the Role
* Permanent, Fulltime
* Orange, NSW
* $150,000 base + Super
* This role requires fulltime on site presence with the occasional flexibility
As a Senior Environmental Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering high-quality environmental engineering projects on time and within budget. You’ll provide technical leadership, mentor colleagues and build strong client relationships while driving sustainable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and certify environmental engineering designs and project deliverables
* Manage project resources, schedules and budgets effectively
* Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing across the environmental and engineering teams
* Liaise regularly with clients and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and project transparency
* Conduct field inspections, site assessments and impact reporting for waste, water reuse and sustainability projects
* Apply industry guidelines and utilise tools such as GIS, MUSIC and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software
* Stay updated with the latest developments in environmental engineering and sustainability
* Prepare detailed reports, proposals and certification documentation
What You Bring
* 8+ years’ experience in environmental engineering and project management
* Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
* Proficiency with GIS and environmental modeling software
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver innovative solutions
* Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, regulators and multidisciplinary teams
* Solid knowledge of NSW environmental legislation, licensing and impact assessment processes
* Leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing team members
* High attention to detail and organisational skills to meet deadlines consistently
