Overview
We're looking for an Energy Offtake Advisor to join our Energy Advisory team, helping clients navigate wholesale energy transactions, revenue strategies, and market participation decisions. This is a client-facing role where you'll advise on PPA structuring, offtake strategies, hedging approaches, and revenue optimisation for generation and storage assets. You'll work across diverse clients—from developers seeking bankable revenue arrangements to corporates procuring renewable energy—with significant autonomy and direct commercial impact. You'll bring deep knowledge of electricity markets, wholesale transaction structuring, and commercial negotiations, with a practical understanding of AEMO frameworks and regulatory requirements. This role suits someone who enjoys solving complex commercial problems and translating technical market dynamics into clear strategic advice.
About You
You're a commercially minded energy professional with proven experience in wholesale energy markets, transaction structuring, or commercial advisory. You translate complex market dynamics into practical strategic advice and build credibility quickly with senior stakeholders.
* Strong experience in electricity markets with direct exposure to wholesale transactions, origination, trading, or commercial advisory
* Track record structuring or advising on PPAs, offtake agreements, or wholesale energy contracts
* Solid understanding of AEMO market operations, NEM structure, and regulatory frameworks
* Commercial modelling capability and experience with transaction financial analysis
* Knowledge of renewable generation and BESS revenue models and market participation approaches
* Familiarity with REC markets and regulatory compliance requirements
* Excellent client management skills with ability to influence senior decision-makers
* Strong communication skills — can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
* Collaborative working style with ability to integrate across technical and commercial disciplines
