Human Resources Coordinator Role
Join the pre-opening team of Hotel Indigo Melbourne Little Collins and Holiday Inn Melbourne Bourke Street Mall as a Human Resources Coordinator.
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to provide support to the Director of Human Resources and management team with all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
This role offers the opportunity to create and build how the HR function will operate once the hotels are open.
Daily Responsibilities:
* Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for hotel colleagues, ensuring a seamless experience in partnership with the Human Resources Officer.
* Support learning & development initiatives, including onboarding sessions and maintaining training records.
* Respond to general colleague enquiries.
* Assist in drafting and updating HR policies, procedures, contracts, and communications.
* Coordinate employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture.
* Ensure compliance with Hospitality Industry General Award and any other applicable awards and employment legislation.
Requirements:
* Ability to work autonomously, be proactive, and take accountability for workload and key deliverables within project timelines.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks while demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
* Proven ability to flex and adapt to varying situations and problem-solve.
* Strong communication skills that can build professional rapport with department managers, leaders, and colleagues.
* Tertiary studies in Human Resources, Training, or Business Administration preferred.
* Previous HR experience within the Hotel Industry or within Tourism and Hospitality is desired.
* Minimum of one (1) year's experience in a Human Resources generalist capacity.
* Tech savvy and able to learn new systems easily.
