Job Title: Lecturer in Remote Health

About the Role:
* We are seeking an experienced health professional and educator to deliver high-quality teaching, engage in research and program evaluation, and collaborate with local stakeholders to strengthen pathways into health professions.
* This role combines academic leadership, community engagement, and interprofessional education to improve health outcomes in rural and remote settings.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver innovative teaching and support student learning across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including placement education.
2. Conduct and contribute to research in rural, remote, and Indigenous health, including publications and grant acquisition.
3. Build strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders to enhance recruitment and pathways for rural and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
4. Collaborate with interprofessional teams and contribute to program development, accreditation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
* You are an experienced health professional and educator with a passion for improving rural and remote health outcomes.
* You bring academic expertise, cultural awareness, and a collaborative approach to teaching and research.
* Relevant postgraduate qualifications in Health (PhD or equivalent), or professional experience and standing in the discipline.
* A strong research track record (appropriate to career stage), including publications and grant success.
* Sound knowledge of rural and remote health issues, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, and ability to practice in a culturally safe manner.
