Heavy Duty Diesel Technician
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team as a Heavy Duty Diesel Technician. As a key member of our workshop and field service team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy diesel products across various applications.
We offer a competitive hourly rate with overtime paid at penalty rates, as well as a tooling allowance, on-call allowance, and bonus scheme. Our Monday to Friday roster allows for regular weekend breaks and work-life balance.
The role involves working in a fast-paced workshop environment, completing repairs and maintenance tasks, diagnosing engine issues, disassembling and inspecting engines, and rebuilding and reconditioning them. You will also be required to attend to breakdowns in the field using your trusty tool of trade vehicle.
To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a mechanical trades qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Light Vehicle Mechanic, or Plant Mechanic. Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products is preferred, ideally with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Field service experience is also advantageous.
Key responsibilities include:
• Completing repairs and maintenance tasks on heavy diesel products
• Diagnosing engine issues and implementing repairs
• Disassembling, inspecting, and cleaning engines and/or engine components
• Rebuilding and reconditioning engines
