About the Role
We seek a local Fire Suppression Technician to provide product support and technical services to customers alongside our Fire Suppression products. The Fire Suppression Business maintains quality objectives and promotes business through exceptional customer service.
As a Fire Suppression Technician, you will install and maintain fire suppression systems in workshops and in the field.
Main Responsibilities
* Estimate and quote jobs for customers.
* Adhere to all policies and procedures, especially EHS policies.
* Support technicians from other regions and assist in training.
* Perform fault diagnosis, maintenance, and installation of Fire Suppression systems.
* Work effectively in teams or autonomously.
* Develop strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Identify opportunities for business growth and participate in sales activities.
* Assist with machine audits and inspections.
* Internal Sandvik product accredited certification will be provided.
About You
You will have strong customer relations skills and ability to work within a team. You must be flexible when working with customer requirements and follow all safety policies. A positive attitude and determination to achieve targets set for customer satisfaction are essential. You should also have a keen eye for detail in hands-on work and administrative duties.
Relevant trade qualifications and experience are desirable. Direct knowledge and exposure to fire suppression systems applicable to underground environments are advantageous. Installation and service experience of Mobile Fire Suppression systems will also be a distinct advantage. Accreditation by the Fire Protection Association (FPA) is desirable.
A valid driver's license and basic computer literacy, including email, Microsoft Excel, and Word, are required.
