We’re seeking an engaging and passionate Clinical Psychologist to join our Rehabilitation and Aged Care team, where you’ll provide evidence-based assessments, treatments, clinical reports, and referrals tailored to the unique needs of older adults and individuals undergoing rehabilitation. In this rewarding role, you’ll work closely with patients, families, and carers - offering advocacy, education, and skills training to enhance their wellbeing. You’ll collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, contribute your specialist expertise, and supervise students and colleagues, all while driving innovation through quality improvement and clinical research initiatives. With a strong focus on professional growth, you'll maintain your registration, participate in regular supervision, and fulfil CPD requirements. What You'll be Doing To deliver specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, interventions and consultation in order to address the needs of consumers who are living with complex mental health problems and disorders. The role also participates in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services and assists in the development and provision of education and training programs. Additionally, the role supervises Psychologists and other disciplines working within the LHD according to organisational needs. Where You'll Be Working Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area. It also provides a range of state-wide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation. The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care. Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney. Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the UNSW Sydney and the Western Sydney University and also welcome students from over 20 universities and colleges. Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries. Current Authority to Practice as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Demonstrated competence in a wide range of psychological assessments and evidence based psychological treatments delivered on an individual and/or group basis Demonstrated experience working independently in the provision of patient/consumer-focused care. Demonstrated knowledge of the quality improvement process for service development, implementation and evaluation. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit the target audience.
