This is a unique opportunity to join a nimble and high-growth Australian gold producer as a Senior Mine Planning Engineer, where you will play a key role in optimising current operations while shaping the next generation of mines along the Plutonic Belt.
The vibrant remnant mining programs at Plutonic Main provide exposure to high-value, technically complex extraction strategies — ideal for a planning engineer looking to deepen their geotechnical and sequencing expertise. An opportunity to contribute to the staged development of multiple deposits across the Plutonic Belt.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager / Mine Planning Superintendent, you will:
* Lead and mentor a team of production and planning engineers.
* Develop and optimise short, medium, and long-term underground mine plans.
* Drive operational strategy aligned with Catalyst's growth and cost discipline objectives.
* Work closely with geology, operations, and corporate teams to deliver robust production forecasts and life-of-mine strategies.
* Contribute to studies and feasibility work across new satellite deposits within the Plutonic Belt.
You will be part of a technically engaged team that balances operational discipline with entrepreneurial agility — a hallmark of Catalyst's operating model.
Lifestyle
Working a 8:6 roster, departing from Perth you will fly directly to Plutonic arriving within 90 minutes of departure. Once onsite you are accommodated in a well-established camp that boasts dedicated rooms, gym, squash courts, multipurpose court, pool, modern ensuite rooms with WiFi and Foxtel all located only 5 minutes away from site.

Ideal Candidates will have
* Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering
* Minimum 4 years relevant experience in the mining industry.
* Underground production and planning experience in a mechanised hard-rock underground mine.
* Significant experience in all planning processes, from long to short term.
* Experience in all aspects of mine design (development and production).
* Strong experience using Deswik suite software
* First Class Mine Manager's Ticket desirable but not essential.
