**About the role**
As the HR Officer at Aman Aged Care, you will be the first point of contact for day-to-day human resource queries, providing timely and practical support to both managers and employees. Your role will involve offering guidance, preparing documentation, and coordinating HR processes across various functions including administration, recruitment, compliance, employee relations, training coordination, and reporting.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct onboarding and orientation programs for new staff, ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements. Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes in accordance with organisational needs and policies.
- Ensure pre-employment checks (NDIS Worker Screening, Police Checks, AHPRA registration) are completed.
**Workforce Planning & Rostering Support**
- Assist with workforce planning to ensure appropriate staffing levels across all shifts.
- Liaise with rostering personnel to ensure staffing aligns with care needs and skill mix.
**Training & Development**
- Maintain a staff training register and ensure mandatory training is completed.
- Coordinate internal and external training sessions in line with individual development plans and accreditation requirements.
- Support the implementation of education programs aligned with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
**Performance Management**
- Support managers in conducting performance reviews and managing underperformance.
- Provide guidance on disciplinary processes and documentation in line with HR policies and Fair Work obligations.
**Employee Relations & Engagement**
- Promote a positive workplace culture that supports staff wellbeing, inclusion, and open communication.
- Act as a point of contact for staff concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Policy Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all HR processes and practices comply with the Aged Care Act, Aged Care Quality Standards, and industrial relations legislation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, employment contracts, and position descriptions.
- Regularly review and update HR policies and procedures.
**Reporting & Continuous Improvement**
- Support audits and accreditation processes with HR documentation and data.
- Prepare HR reports, metrics, and recommendations for leadership as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
**Key Selection Criteria**
**Essential**
- Minimum Certificate IV or Diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on HR experience.
- Proficient with navigating HRIS (Employment Hero preferred) and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).
- Excellent communication, emotional intelligence, and time management skills.
- Experience in an HR role, preferably in aged care, healthcare, or community services.
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation (Fair Work Act, WHS Act, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality, discretion, and integrity.
**Desirable**
- Bachelors in Human Resources Management
- Experience in NFP, Aged Care, Disability or Community Care sectors.
- Knowledge of SCHADS Award and Nurses Award.
- AHRI membership
- Previous experience in aged care or a regulated service setting.
- Understanding of industrial awards and enterprise agreements applicable to aged care.
- Experience with rostering systems and/or eCase is an advantage.
**Other Requirements**
- Current National Police Clearance (within 12 months).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations.
Ability to work flexible hours as required
