The Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Building Surveyor to join our Launceston team to help our clients achieve safe and compliant buildings.
This role will see you:
* Support our existing client base through sound technical knowledge and professionalism.
* Carry out regulatory assessments on all types of commercial projects.
* Carry out early phase compliance assessments and reporting through concept/schematic/design development.
* Assess project documentation against the deemed-to-satisfy and performance requirements of the Building Code of Australia, Act and Regs.
* Facilitate the preparation of Certificate of Likely Compliance, Occupancy Permits, Certificates and documentation
* Manage multiple projects from beginning to end
* Leading by example and assisting the development of staff, through growth, education and support.
* Liaise with relevant stakeholders and provide technical assistance to our clients.
* Assist other staff members with building surveying and business development matters.
* Attend site inspections and design meetings as required.
What you bring:
* Licensed or nearly licensed as a Building Surveyor
* 5+ yrs experience in a similar role is preferred, however we will consider all levels of experience
* Degree or Post Graduate qualification in Building Surveying
* Sound knowledge of current Building Act, Regulations and Building Code of Australia.
* Be well informed with Building Surveyors Code of Practice in Tasmania
* Demonstrated time management and organisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
* Strong writing skills and ability to communicate with people at all levels.
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Computer literate.
* Current Driver's licence.
