About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Surgical Receptionist to join a new Plastic Surgery Practice with two locations at Birtinya and Noosa on the Sunshine Coast.
This full-time role will be hybrid, with onsite work on Tuesdays and Fridays and work from home the remainder of the week, with potential for more onsite work as we grow. We consider this role integral to the smooth operation of our surgical practice, ensuring our patients receive exceptional customer service from their first interaction.
What you'll be doing:
* Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner
* Managing patient appointments, including booking, rescheduling, and cancellations
* Answering and directing incoming phone calls efficiently
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
* Assisting with patient inquiries and providing information about our services
* Performing general administrative duties, such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
* Collaborating with the clinical team to ensure a seamless patient experience
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Proficiency in using medical software and computer systems
* Familiarity with Medicare, Health Fund Billing and patient account management
* A proactive and problem-solving approach to your work
* A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding medical ethics
