Accounts officer

Western Work Force is currently seeking an Accounts Officer to work for one of our clients, a well-established civil earthworks contractor based in Bunbury, WA.

Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for supporting the day‐to‐day financial operations of the business. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage competing priorities, and experience working within a project‐based or construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts payable and receivable
• Bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
• Processing payroll (if applicable)
• Assisting with month‐end reporting and financial documentation
• Managing supplier payments and subcontractor accounts
• Supporting project cost tracking and financial administration
• Maintaining accurate financial records and compliance documentation

About You

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role (civil, construction or earthworks environment preferred)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. MYOB, Xero or similar)
