ADF Health Services provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. As part of this contract, Serco, in partnership with Bupa, supplies defence-ready clinical and support staff at over 50 on-base locations nationwide, ensuring access to quality on-site medical care for ADF personnel. About The Role
You will be responsible for clerical services, including maintaining electronic and hard copy health records, managing databases and information systems, filing, photocopying, and ordering stationery. You will communicate with internal and external customers to obtain patient information as needed. All work must comply with Defence Policies and Procedures, Medical-in-Confidence, and Staff-in-Confidence standards.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behavior.
At least 1 year of full-time experience in an administrative role (or part-time equivalent).
Customer service experience (desirable).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to support safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
About Cerberus
Cerberus Health Centre is located at HMAS Cerberus in Westernport, near Crib Point on the Mornington Peninsula. This Naval base has approximately 4,000 members and trains about 6,000 recruits annually, with around 800 trainees onboard at any time. The health centre offers primary medical, outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services, including a 24/7, 30-bed low dependency ward. Operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30, Monday to Friday, with some roles requiring weekend and on-call shifts. The centre also provides after-hours services for ADF personnel on the Mornington Peninsula.
About You
You have experience in a clinical support role and take pride in contributing to positive health outcomes. Your excellent interpersonal skills enable effective communication with staff and customers. You understand the importance of accurate record-keeping in a clinical setting and are responsible and professional, demonstrating strong moral values. You are passionate about clinical support and working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high standards of patient care.
