As a recruiter partnering with this business, we’re excited to present an opportunity for an experienced Structural Steel Detailer with strong Tekla Structures expertise to join their Sunshine Coast–based team. This is a fantastic chance to step into a role where you’ll work on diverse, technically challenging projects within a collaborative and supportive environment. You’ll be a key contributor, using your expertise to deliver precise drawings and documentation while working closely with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams. The Role Produce detailed fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures Interpret architectural and structural documentation with accuracy Manage multiple residential and commercial drafting projects end-to-end Generate NC data, shop drawings, and fabrication reports Maintain drawing registers and ensure compliance with standards Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to resolve queries Attend project meetings and site visits as required Mentor and support junior drafters when needed About You Demonstrated experience in structural steel detailing (residential and commercial) Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures and AutoCAD Ability to confidently interpret engineering and architectural drawings High attention to detail and problem-solving capability Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities Current Driver’s Licence and White Card (or willingness to obtain) Desirable Experience Background in steel fabrication across varied project types Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications Experience within the residential construction sector What’s On Offer Sunshine Coast location – enjoy both lifestyle and career growth Office-based position within a respected and stable business Salary package of $100K–$120K, depending on experience (Tekla and leadership capability highly valued) Opportunity to contribute to a strong pipeline of exciting, high-quality projects If you’re an experienced detailer ready for your next move, we’d love to hear from you.
