NDIS Support Workers – On-Site Shared Support in SDA (Apartments)

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives?
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Support Workers to provide on-site support to participants living in 10 purpose-built apartments. Kanda will have its own on-site apartment for its team members, called the hub, to ensure prompt response times to its clients.
Your role will focus on responding to unplanned support needs, ensuring participants have the help they need to live safely and independently.
About the Role
- Provide on-site assistance for NDIS participants in 10 individual apartments.
- Deliver unplanned and short-notice support as required by participants.
- Support participants with daily living needs, including personal care, meal preparation, and mobility assistance (if needed).
- Assist with building independence and promoting choice and control.
- Monitor participant wellbeing and ensure a safe and supportive environment.
About You
We’re looking for people who are:
- Compassionate, reliable, and adaptable to changing support needs.
- Confident in working both independently and as part of a small team.
- Able to quickly respond to unplanned or urgent support requests.
Essential:
- Current First Aid & CPR certification.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- Availability across a range of shifts (including sleepovers)
- A current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable:
- Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in SIL, SDA, or supported accommodation environments.
- Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and participant rights.
