THE COMPANY
We are a boutique pre-training and spelling business located in Tuerong, on the Mornington Peninsula. We specialise in pre-training, breaking, spelling and rehabilitation services for a select group of trainers who value a highly personalised and skilled level of care for their thoroughbreds.
Set on one of Victoria’s premier thoroughbred properties, our facilities cover 70 acres of tree-lined, picturesque land and include a 1400m grass track, 1750m sand track, sand arena, horse pool, two treadmills and 100 stables.
Following recent growth, we are now looking for a highly capable Track Work Rider to join our team and support our horses in the critical stages of their education and preparation.
THE ROLE
This is a hands-on riding position suited to a confident, capable rider who enjoys working with young horses. You will be riding around 10–14 horses per morning across a mix of pre-training and breaking programs.
Key responsibilities:
- Riding green horses with confidence and balance
- Contributing to the education and development of horses in work
- Providing consistent feedback on each horse’s progress alongside our experienced team
This role will suit someone who takes pride in producing young horses correctly and wants to be part of their early development.
WHAT WE OFFER

- $70,000 base + superannuation, with higher packages negotiable for highly experienced riders
- Stable roster – 6 mornings per week (6:00am – 12:00pm)
- Employer sponsorship available for suitably experienced international riders

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We welcome applications from highly competent riders with proven experience handling and riding young horses. Previous racing industry experience is an advantage but not essential – we are also open to strong equestrian riders who can demonstrate confidence, balance and skill riding green horses at pace.

- Experienced, balanced and confident riding green horses
- Physically fit and able to manage the demands of multiple rides daily
- Professional, reliable, and passionate about horse care and development
