If this sounds like you, we would love to talk.About the OpportunityIn this role as a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the effective kitchen operation and working in a team environment.Our talented team of chefs, operate a variety of kitchens throughout the resort, including the large main production kitchen, a busy conference & events space for large groups, and various restaurant kitchens, to create dishes made from high quality produce.

As a Commis Chef, your key responsibilities for the role include:Produce a consistent high quality product & standardMaintain equipment, utensils and a clean & hygienic kitchenRotate stock, ensuring minimal wastageFollow directions from senior chefs and work as a team playerFollow WHS, policies and proceduresRACV Healesille Country Club and Resort is open 24 hours per day, 7 days week.
Our kitchen operates from early morning breakfast service, through to evening dinner service & late night in room dining.
Our team work a 7 day rotating roster including evenings, weekends & public holidays.
Ideally you will have full availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts.What you'll need to be successfulCompleted a Certificate 3 in Cookery qualification, recognised in AustraliaThrive in a large, busy & fast paced work environment, with efficiency, organisation and attention to detailStrong communication skills, can follow direction and work well in a team environmentCommitted and a passion for cooking with a strong focus on food quality and presentationExcellent personal presentationWe are OfferingCompetitive Salary + Penalties evenings, weekends & public holidays + 11% SuperDiscounts on RACV products & resortsUniform + Free parking onsiteEmployee of the month recognitionThe RACV differenceBe part of a team who cares.
