Mental Health Access Team
Darwin, Northern Territory
Several vacancies are available, either ongoing or fixed for up to 18 months
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary health team, the role will engage in the provision of mental health triage, mental assessments of clients in the community and emergency department, with short term brief intervention through the Acute Care Team using a recovery-based framework.
Inherent to the role is the ability to develop, implement and evaluate individual care plans with clients and carers and clinical team and engage with stakeholders to ensure high quality holistic care for people with a mental illness.
Whilst a postgraduate qualification is an essential requirement for ongoing appointment to this vacancy, all applicants will be assessed. If the most suitable applicant does not hold the qualification, they may be appointed on a fixed basis with ongoing appointment subject to attaining the qualification during the fixed term.
