Family Preservation Specialist
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families who are at high risk of entering or escalating within the statutory child protection system.
About The Role
You will be working closely with families to undertake an initial assessment of their strengths and needs, develop case plans that empower them to overcome identified risks, and provide weekly home visiting support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake an initial assessment of family strengths and needs.
* Develop case plans that build on the family's resilience to enable them to overcome identified risks.
* Provide weekly home visiting support.
* Deliver intervention through evidence-informed practices, partnering with other services and supporting the family to shape their next chapter.
Requirements
* Relevant industry experience is essential and/or a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Welfare, or Psychology is highly desirable.
* Be recognized within the community as a respected and culturally safe person.
* Able to actively and respectfully engage and assess Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander families.
* Experience identifying and addressing child protection concerns.
* High-level written and verbal communication skills.
* Current driver's license.
