About the role:
This critical role will play a pivotal part in the financial management and strategic decision-making process of our dealership. The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing valuable insights to drive the continued success of the dealership's.
Your duties will include, but aren't limited to:
* Overseeing financial operations across the business
* Leading the dealership with the Admin team and Dealer principal ensuring strong financial controls
* Delivering accurate monthly reporting, cash flow management, and statutory compliance
* Managing compliance with the dealership's internal accounting policies, including Tax compliance – BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, Income Tax
About You:
This role suits a hands on manager approach, who enjoys a close team environment to ensure the job gets done.
The successful candidate will bring:
* Proven experience leading a small team
* Automotive experience is welcome but absolutely not essential—we're more interested in your willingness to learn.
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in a senior finance position (Finance Manager or Financial Controller) CPA, CA considered favorably
* Knowledge of Dealer Management Systems, Pentana considered favorably
* Strong computer & communication skills and the ability to mentor/develop others
