Overview
As a result of our continued growth, we are looking for an Estimator to join our team located in Hope Valley.
Responsibilities
* Tendering from enquiry through to submission with full accountability for your own workload.
* Liaising with clients on all aspects of the tender process.
* Sourcing and liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors as required to successfully price tender.
* Compiling all aspects of the tender, clearly outlining inclusions and exclusions.
* Estimating using first principle, norms and tonnage rates methods.
* Undertaking negotiations with both suppliers and clients.
* Working closely with the project delivery team to ensure effective handover and execution to meet client expectations and ensure project profitability.
* Utilising our software to prepare and complete estimates.
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or Bachelor Mechanical or Structural Engineering or Project Manager in heavy fabrication
* 5 years experience in heavy steel fabrication estimating, particularly with Energy and Resources; Infrastructure
* Experience with STRUMIS is desirable but not essential
