About the Role
Our Sustainability Advisory team in Sydney is growing and we are looking for an Assistant Manager to deliver high‐quality, impactful work for clients across a range of sectors. You will focus on managing and delivering client‐focused projects mainly related to carbon emissions accounting, financial impact modelling, and decarbonisation; contributing to proposals and business development; and training, coaching, upskilling and managing team members.
Key Responsibilities
* Help clients determine and disclose their carbon emissions footprint, including scoping, data collection, emissions calculation, and uplift of emissions inventory processes and controls.
* Critically analyse and interpret the financial impacts of climate‐related matters on clients' businesses, including assessment and modelling of financial effects for AASBS2.
* Develop practical decarbonisation strategies, emissions‐reduction initiatives and transition plans across operations and value chains.
* Assist clients in setting decarbonisation commitments and emissions‐reduction targets and embedding these into business planning, decision‐making and performance management.
* Manage client engagements, including workshop facilitation, client presentations and end‐to‐end engagement delivery.
* Help clients understand and align with a range of sustainability frameworks and guidelines.
* Contribute to winning work by developing proposals and identifying client needs.
* Contribute to the development of market‐leading sustainability tools and methodologies.
* Lead and train junior team members.
About You
* Experience delivering emissions accounting and measurement engagements, financial impact assessments, and/or decarbonisation/transition planning projects.
* Technical background in accounting, sustainability, environmental science, engineering, finance, economics, or a related discipline.
* Working knowledge of recognised emissions accounting and decarbonisation standards and frameworks such as GHG Protocol, PCAF, SBTi, CDP and AASBS2.
* Strong quantitative and data analytics skills, including modelling emissions data and financial impacts.
* Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders, facilitating workshops and delivering presentations.
* Exposure to proposal development, winning work and nurturing client relationships.
* Project‐management experience, including managing multiple engagements with budget and resource oversight.
