Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Gathering and writing original news stories for publication in print and online platforms.
- Developing positive relationships with key people and organisations.
- Breaking news stories and creating engaging content.
- Contributing to news planning meetings and liaising with the Editor regarding story development.
- Interviewing and photographing subjects confidently and professionally.
- Representing the Company in a skilled and courteous manner.
About You

- Strong interviewing and communication skills.
- A sense of urgency and focus on deadlines.
- A passion for local news, with an interest in hard news such as crime, courts, and politics desirable.
- Existing skills or a strong desire to upskill with digital production and social media promotion.
